Just returned from a lovely trip to Ireland, a beautiful place that I am not all that familliar with, but really enjoyed myself there.
Had my lovely date to escort me to all the exciting places there.
Began our journey on the Stena Line Ferry from Hollyhead to Dublin travelling Stena Plus, and took full advantage of the hospitality on offer., we had really good service. This particular line has won the prestigious ‘Hosptitality Sandard’ award for the seventh year running, and it is easy to see why.
En route we checked into the Boyne Valley Hotel on the outskirts of Dublin, in Drogheda, and had a very nice stay there, although it has to be note that the decor was looking a little tired and jaded, unlike myself who felt as fresh as a daisy.
Excitement always does bring a little colour to my cheeks!!!!!. However, the hotel service, was excellent. An enjoyable stay. We made a couple of visits to the much recommended ‘Eastern Seaboard’ Bar and Grill.
Obviously,
the seafood is first-class, but you can have a very casual lunch there, or the more elaborate evening dinner which is superb.
Have enjoyed the delights of Dublin and Belfast and the drive into the surrounding outskirts of both cities was relaxed and pleasurable. However for me, the company is a very important element of any trip and my companion could not be faulted.
Nothing was too much trouble.
I even got my first adventure on a Hovercraft for the return home. Another fantastic experience. So, back in Manchester and my trip to that very beautiful Emerald Isle shall now remain another cherished memory.

They say time flies when your having fun .Another year of meeting interesting and delightful people, visiting fabulous places and engaging in some FUN.
The New Year started off fantastic. Had a exceptional evening with a gorgeous couple who just wanted to please each other and have some adult entertaiment. Had the most amazing of trips just recently to Ruthin Castle in Wales, and oh my goodness, what an extraordinary and fantastic place. My wonderful date treated me to an amazing experience and I felt like a true princess. We stayed in the `Prince of Wales Room` which actually takes over the whole tower of the castle and the room, well, sheer indulgence and luxury. Speaking of luxury and indulgence, we certainly made the most of the fine dining and sumptuous surroundings. Had a tour of the Moat Spa which is just fantastic for that little bit of pampering, actually, a lot of pampering and maybe I will return to indulge a little more in the Moat Spa.
This place is really special and my date made me feel special the whole time we were there. It goes without saying that to dine in such a wonderful hotel is obviously a gourmet delight and this hotel lived up to its fabulous reputation.
During our stay, my date took me to Chester for the day, such a gorgeous place, wandering through the cobbled streets and eating fish and chips at the Grosvenor. We had such a fun time.
I felt so pampered so I hope I returned the compliment and gave a little pampering in return. Ruthin Castle is a fairy-tale place and such an experience, the staff are so friendly, you really do feel spoiled. For a few dreamlike hours I was Princess Anna, although with my long red hair, maybe `Rapunzel` would have suited me more. Would not have minded being locked in that tower with my date!!!!!!!!
Still, back to earth now, more amazing memories made, they will keep me warm on these cold winter nights.

We still have our own magic in the UK.Still on a high from the Olympics, what a feel-good factor that was, and did’nt we do well!!!
It feels great to have something to be proud of for a change, we normally get such bad press. Even people I know
who are’nt really into sports that much could not but help to get caught up in the enthusiam. I’m not a big sports fan myself, I indulge in more gently sports so to speak , but I was in London during the Olympics and it was just marvellous.

just to let you know that I arrived back in Manchester recently from my short trip to Prague. What a beautiful city, lots of history and culture to absorb. Great bars and nightlife, hence its popularity for the stag and hen parties, but what a place to party in.
If you are there for the cultural experience, then it certainly delivers, and the sights are just wonderful. A great atmospheric city, as most cities are , but there is some magic to Prague and I really enjoyed the trip. Again, great company, a great experience.
