dragoras_dungeonFor people who know me, they will already know my taste in films and books, so what an amazing experience it was for me to be able to attend the Film Festival in Toronto in 2007, and then to be so lucky as to have the opportunity to attend the Festival a few weeks later in Puente Ramano in Marbella.  In Toronto, I stayed at the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville and whilst in Marbella, I stayed in the Hotel Puente Ramona, both first class hotels providing an excellent service with all of the expected luxuries available to patrons who wished to indulge.  During my stay in Toronto, I was even interviewed about the films and the Red-Carpet experience is something that I will never forget.  Being a film-buff, it was easy for me to talk about one of my passions, and the critics were reviewing one of my favourite actors, Nicholas Cage.  I still rate ‘Leaving Vegas’ and ‘Warlords’ as a few of my favourites together with ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Usual Suspects’., and having the opportunity to mingle in such an exciting environment as the Film Festival was one of the highlights of 2007.

On a more mundane note, and more appropriate to ‘You’ve Been Framed, I had the awful experience of my own T.V blowing up on me the other day.  Imagine my shock, I felt as though I had been traumatized and my nerves certainly jangled.  Still, no harm done, and no injuries, am just left reeling from the shock of it all, so I am off to shop now, T.V. high on the agenda.

As a footnote, for anyone who has had difficulty trying to contact me, may I apologies for may lack of availability, but am now back from my travels and in the U.K. and look forward to seeing you.  Bye for now.

ready for holiday !!!!!

ready for holiday !!!!!

Airports are strange and wonderful places, and as I spend a lot of my time there, especially at Manchester Airport, I feel as though I am becoming something of an authority on them.  Manchester Airport in particular has an excellent Raddison Hotel, handy for a travelling girl as I don’t have to suffer the indignity of the sometimes awful Manchester weather, and can actually go through to each terminal without having to worry that I may get drenched and have a ‘bad-hair’ day!!!!!!  Their location gives easy access into the many surrounding areas such as Hale in Cheshire and for my dates to enjoy the lovely countryside on our drives out.  Whenever I meet any of my dates at Manchester Airport, it is always a treat to travel into Hale  and to sample any one of the many good restaurants and bars which the town has to offer, and it is sometimes a refreshing change to enjoy the ambiance of Manchester as an alternative to the hectic club scene which Manchester boasts.

I have had some amazing experiences relating to my travels through airports as well as meeting some fabulous dates there.  On one occasion, returning from New York, I was up-graded to first-class (thank you Continental), a long-haul flight made all the more enjoyable due to the excellent service provided.  Being a well-travelled woman, I am able to appreciate the luxury of travelling back in style, and arrived back in Manchester feeling as though I had just been on a short trip. (Jet-Lag plays havoc with a girls energy levels).

Being the consumate professional, I know just how important it is to arrive on time, whether that is to meet my date at one of the Airports hotels, or embarking on my own personal journey.  Airports have an exciting feel about them, a promise of new encounters and adventures to be had, experiences that I always embrace.

I was fortunate to meet up with one of my favourite dates a short while ago and went to London to meet up with my Norweigan friend.  I was spoilt and pampered the whole time, being presented with a gorgeous bottle of Channel No. 5. (Yes, sometimes it is the only thing I wear in bed). – - – - – - – - – -Who said that?  Marilyn, you certainly had style.

We had decided to start the evening off with pre-dinner cocktails at Trader Vics.  Beautiful cocktails and a vibrant and lively atmosphere.  We then moved onto Le Boudin Blanc to sample the exquisite French Cuisine, absolute heaven.  Although the establishment is lively and unpretentious, it is still extremely smart without being too stuffy.

The rest of our time together was spent at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel and although Nobu is one of my dates favourite places, we decided to stay at the hotel.  It was a wonderfully relaxing time and it was especially good to spend some time with my Scandanavian friend as we do not get the chance to meet up that often, but when we do, it is always memorable.

I also had the opportunity to meet a new date recently, again from Norway.  It was this persons first encounter of this type, so it was important for me to demonstrate my social and interpersonal skills so that my date would see that I was very approachable and that he would be able to engage with me and have some fun.  When we met, we had arranged to stay at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester and it was to be an overnight stay. (Quality time).  The Sky Bar is fantastic and being on the 23rd floor, has amazing views of Manchester.  My date gave me the option of choosing where to eat, so I sugggested that we dine at the fabulous San Carlo Restaurant, which is renowned for the best fish in town, even thought my date opted for a steak.!!!

As a footnote, I would like to extend my apologies for being unobtainable during my photoshoot in Marbella, and aopolgies to all of my dates who were unable to contact me during that time.  I am now back on track and avaiable and cannot wait to meet some new dates.

tate-modern-lg-gt_full_width_landscapeThank heavens for good weather.  I had arranged to meet my dear friend Dollymopp in London for a girlie day out.  We had decided to Browse the Borough Market, a bustling vibrant venue with authentic organic foods and mulled wines.  The energy of this place really is something special, and I could feel my energy levels rising just by being part of the experience.  I wore one of my favourite outfits, a spotted pencil skirt with halter-neck top and high-heels.  Oh My God!, ever tried walking on cobbles in such footwear, no mean task by any stretch of the imagination.  Still, managed to negotiate my route whilst teetering on high and kept my ladylike posture upright.!!!

It was so nice to take in the sights as we meandered our way over to the Tate Gallery, passing the Golden Hinde en-route.  A girl needs her soul feeding with a little bit of culture now and again just to keep grounded and balanced. (No pun intended)

We took our lunch at the Tate Modern Restaurant on the 7th floor, and it was a lovely time just catching up with my good friend Dollymopp.  The views overlooking London and the Thames were spectacular and as we chatted and sipped wine, the time just flew by.  Good friends are precious and so I look forward to meeting up again and spending some quality time together whilst we tap into our `ladies who lunch` routine.

untitledJust arrived back from my photo-shoot in Marbella. Although it was a fabulous experience, it was work related, so I’m off to Majorca on the 3rd of Aug for a much needed break, and will be back in the u.k. on the 11th Aug.

The Photo-shoot went very well, and although it sounds glamorous, and up to a point it is, it is still hard work. The pictures are great and as soon as I get them,I will share them with you. Some beautiful shots in a beautiful location with some very sexy pics thrown in . Certain clothes always make me feel very sexy and the few clothes I wore certainly had the desired effect. It set the mood and tone for the photo-shoot and hopefully my sex-appeal shines through, given the fact that I am in my  comfort zone by being sultry, sexy and alluring.

I’ve had a few days to reconnect with some of my favorite dates and had some wonderful adventures with them, but it is  time to embark on a well-earned rest and relaxation break on the fabulous isle of Majorca. Got all my favorite authors packed and ready to go, I’m reading the latest John Grisham at the moment, and I’m looking forward to relaxing on the beach with a few good books.

Hopefully, after a few days of relaxing in the sun, I’ll be ready sample the wonderful sights of the Marina at Portals Nous. I believe that there are some amaing up-market restaurants there so i have packed some stunning sophisticated outfits to wear to these fabulous places.

I will be back and raring to go on the 11th Aug, looking tanned, relaxed and totally energized.

Bye for now Annaxxxxxxx
