Hello everyone,

my sympathies go out to anyone who is stranded anywhere because of the flight situation.Having been stuck at Manchester Airport for what seemed like an eternity last year, its not a good place to be when you just  want to get home, or get away.Hopefully it will soon be back to normal.

Speaking of normal, as my date last week was affected by the travel situation, I decided to stroll down to the pub near my home,take advantage of a lovely spring evening and chat to a  few friends when lo and behold, I’ve got to the bar, looked down and there is my dog. He had sneakily followed me there, and then had the nerve to look at me with those big brown eyes as if to say “mine ‘s a pint”!!! Very cheeky. Still it was a lovely evening, the weather was gorgeous and that always makes me feel upbeat.

Greetings to all and hoping 2010 brings happiness, prosperity and joy to everyone.

For all who have been following my journeys, I did finally manage to get away to sunny Barbados’ after my previous ordeal of delays at Manchester Airport and not being able to make my cruise.

I had to make my way to Gatwick Airport for my flight to Barbados’ and whilst there had a few hours to spare in which I needed to get my hair washed and blown. However after trawling around numerous salons and being told that they simply could not fit me in, the ever determined Anna decided that I would visit the nearest barber shop. Amongst the curious and bewildered gents, I was ushered to the back-wash and hey-ho, emerged feeling as though I had had a make-over, and was pleased with the results.

With time running out, I made it to Gatwick Airport on time and pleased to note that all flights were on time. Just to my journey even more of a pleasure, I was up-graded to first-class so thank you British Airways.

I am now back in the U.K.  and so looking forward to seeing everyone, old friends and new dates. Once again best wishes to all Annaxxxx
